Often considered the ideal focal length for portraiture, Mitakon’s 85mm f/2 Lens is a manual focus prime designed for Canon EF, Pentax K, Sony A, FX and DX-sized Nikon F-mount DSLR cameras. The 6 element, 6 group design is housed within a metal lens barrel, which features printed depth of field and distance scales for greater control over focus placement. Complementing the short telephoto perspective, an f/2 maximum aperture enables selective focus and shallow depth of field control as well as enhanced performance in difficult lighting conditions. Furthermore, a 10-blade diaphragm helps to produce pleasing bokeh.

Does the lens have auto-focus?
+
The Mitakon Zhongyi 35mm f/0.95 is not an auto-focus lens. It will be manual focus only.
Does it have connection pins for exposure metering and diaphragm control or is just 100% manual?
+
The light meter still works but you have to set your aperture manually in the camera, and it does have focus confirmation, other than that it’s 100% manual.
Does this lens work with Nikon Full Frame camera?
+
Yes, the lens is a full frame F mount lens.
Does this lens work on a k-1000 body without any vignetting or other issues?
+
This lens does not vignette on a Pentax K1000.
Does it have an 'A' position on the aperture ring? If not, is it possible to change the aperture on a Pentax DSLR?
+
The lens has no A position, as it does not communicate with the body.
The aperture can therefore be set and used on the lens, but will not be recorded in the exif data.
Does this lens work with the Sony 6500 ?
+
The Mitakon Zhongyi 85mm f/2 Lens for Sony A Mount will not be compatible with the a6500. The Sony a6500 has the E-mount, while this lens is designed for use with A-mount lenses.
